Crawler.MOBI

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 16, 2026

1. Introduction

Crawler.MOBI ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website. We are based in Romania and fully comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws. By using Crawler.MOBI, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. What We Collect

Account Information: Email address and password (hashed with Argon2) for authentication. Device Information: Device model, operating system version, screen resolution, and browser user agent string. This helps us optimize page rendering and match your device to appropriate requests. Usage Statistics: Number of requests processed, uptime hours, success rates, and earning history. This data powers your dashboard and our optimization systems. Network Information: Your IP address is visible to the websites your device loads, as it would be during normal browsing. We log connection metadata for security and fraud prevention. App Performance Data: Crash reports, memory usage, and battery impact metrics to improve app stability.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, access, or store: - Your personal browsing history or bookmarks - Your photos, videos, or files - Your contacts, messages, or call logs - Your location data (GPS) - Data from other apps on your device - Your personal social media or banking information - Keystrokes or screen content outside the app The WebView used for page rendering operates in a completely isolated sandbox that cannot access any other data on your device.

4. How Pages Are Loaded

When you use Crawler.MOBI, our servers send URLs to your device via an encrypted WebSocket connection. Your device opens these URLs in an isolated WebView - a sandboxed browser component that is completely separated from your personal browser and data. The WebView renders the page (including JavaScript execution), and the resulting HTML is sent back to our servers. The rendered pages are then delivered to our business customers. The WebView: - Has no access to your personal browser cookies, history, or saved passwords - Cannot access your device's file system, contacts, or other apps - Runs in a separate process from the rest of the app - Clears all session data between requests - Cannot interact with your personal browsing sessions

5. Background Operation

On Android devices, Crawler.MOBI can operate in the background as a foreground service (with a visible notification). This means the app continues to process requests even when you're using other apps or your screen is off. You can stop background operation at any time by closing the app or toggling the service off. On iOS devices, the app currently operates only while in the foreground due to platform limitations. You must keep the app open and visible for it to process requests. Background operation does not grant the app any additional access to your personal data beyond what is described in this policy.

6. How We Share Data

With Customers: We share the rendered HTML content of web pages with our business customers. This content does not include any of your personal information. Your IP address is visible to websites as part of normal page loading, just as it would be during regular browsing. We Never: - Sell your personal data to anyone - Share your email or account info with third parties for marketing - Provide your device information to advertisers - Route third-party traffic through your connection Service Providers: We may use payment processors (PayPal, crypto exchanges) to process your withdrawals. They receive only the minimum information needed to process your payment.

7. Data Retention

- Rendered page data: Deleted within 30 days of collection - Account information: Retained as long as your account is active - Usage statistics: Retained for the duration of your account for earnings tracking - Security logs: Retained for 90 days - Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by tax and financial regulations When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Security Measures

We implement robust security measures to protect your data: - Encrypted connections: All communication between your device and our servers uses encrypted WebSocket (WSS) connections - Password security: Passwords are hashed using Argon2, the winner of the Password Hashing Competition - Authentication tokens: Cryptographically generated session tokens with automatic expiration - Sandboxed rendering: WebView isolation prevents cross-contamination of data - Regular audits: We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure - Access controls: Strict internal access policies limit who can access user data
